Gerad Rosso

Gerad was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on October 13, 1963. His preparatory education was at Temple In college, Gerad had several internships in the criminal justice and legal field.

“That's when I decided I wanted to become a lawyer and to be a litigator in the courtroom,” he said. “I felt drawn into the role of standing up and making an argument to a trier of fact for those who could not make it for themselves.”

Gerad has practiced law for two decades, with his first three years serving as an assistant district attorney in Montgomery County, Penn. He spent the next three years in Pennsylvania in private practice, representing clients in the areas of criminal defense and family law.

For the last 15 years, Gerad has been practicing law in Texas. Gerad was assistant district attorney for five years in Grayson County in Texas, before going into private practice in Sherman, Texas, in 1999. Gerad primarily focused on the areas of criminal and family law at that time.

Gerad has extensive courtroom experience as a litigator of criminal and family law cases. During his career as a prosecutor for eight years and 12 years in private practice, he has tried more than 50 jury trials. Those trials have included capital murder, murder, aggravated robbery, burglary, aggravated sexual assault, aggravated assault, driving while intoxicated, and assault-family violence cases.

Gerad has tried numerous contested custody cases before both judge and jury.

Although most of his time is devoted to his profession, Gerad finds time to hang out with his four children.

“The practice of law is intense and take a lot of time away from my family,” Gerad said. But I make sure to spend as much time as possible with my kids.”

When he has the opportunity, he delves into his other passion.

“I am an avid photographer,” Gerad said.

Gerad was born in Philadelphia on Oct. 13, 1963. His preparatory education was at Temple University where he earned an A.B.A. in criminal justice in 1985, with honors. Gerad attended the University of Pittsburgh Law School earning his Doctrine of Jurisprudence degree in 1988 and he was admitted to the Pennsylvania State Bar in 1988.
