Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 17, 2026

The Reib Firm PLLC, doing business as REIB LAW ("REIB LAW," "we," "us," or "our"), respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect through reiblaw.com and our related online forms, tools, and communications (together, the "Services"), how we use and share it, and the choices and rights available to you.

This Policy describes how we handle information collected through our website and marketing activity. It does not create an attorney-client relationship, and it does not govern communications that are already protected by the attorney-client privilege or that occur after you have formally engaged REIB LAW under a signed engagement agreement — those are governed by our engagement agreement and the Texas Disciplinary Rules of Professional Conduct.

1. Information We Collect

Information you provide to us

We collect personal information you choose to give us when you fill out a form on our site (such as our Trademark Quick Check Request), request information, schedule a consultation, sign an engagement agreement, or otherwise contact us. Depending on the form or interaction, this may include:

  • Name, company or entity name, email address, and phone number
  • Details about the legal matter you are asking us about (for example, the mark you want us to check, or a description of your business)
  • Your electronic signature, when a form requires one
  • Billing and payment information, when you engage us for paid services
  • Any other information you choose to include in a message to us

Information collected automatically

When you visit our site, we and our service providers automatically collect certain technical information, such as your IP address, browser and device type, operating system, referring URLs, pages viewed, and the dates and times of your visits. We use this information to operate and secure our Services and to understand how visitors use our site.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Respond to your inquiries and provide the services you request, such as a Trademark Quick Check
  • Communicate with you about your request, our services, and (where you've consented) our marketing and educational content
  • Prepare and send engagement agreements, invoices, and related documents
  • Maintain records required by our professional and ethical obligations as a law firm
  • Operate, secure, and improve our website and Services
  • Comply with applicable law, respond to legal process, and protect our rights and the rights of others

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in the following circumstances:

Service providers we use

We work with the following categories of third-party service providers to operate our intake, communication, and document-signing processes. Each processes personal information on our behalf and under its own privacy and security terms:

  • GoHighLevel — customer relationship management, workflow automation, and appointment/communication tools
  • Jotform — online form hosting and submission collection (including forms that require an electronic signature)
  • PandaDoc — document delivery and electronic signature for engagement agreements and related paperwork
  • Google Analytics — website usage analytics
  • Meta (Facebook) Pixel — website analytics and advertising measurement
  • Our email service provider — sending marketing and informational emails you've opted in to receive

Other circumstances

  • Legal requirements. We may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, court order, or other legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of REIB LAW, our clients, or others.
  • Business transfers. If REIB LAW is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this Policy.
  • With your consent. We may share information for any other purpose you specifically authorize.

4. Cookies, Analytics, and Advertising Technologies

Our site uses cookies and similar technologies, including Google Analytics and the Meta (Facebook) Pixel, to understand how visitors use our site and to measure the effectiveness of our marketing. These tools may collect information about your browsing activity on our site and, in some cases, across other websites.

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Blocking or deleting cookies may affect how parts of our site function.

5. Text Message and Email Marketing Consent

If you check the applicable box on one of our forms, you are agreeing to receive marketing text messages and/or marketing emails from REIB LAW about our legal services, promotions, and events. These opt-ins are separate and optional — you do not have to agree to marketing communications to submit a form or request our free Trademark Quick Check.

  • Text messages: Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to opt out, or HELP for assistance.
  • Emails: You may unsubscribe at any time using the link included in any marketing email we send.

Consent to receive marketing communications is never a condition of receiving legal services from REIB LAW.

6. How Long We Keep Your Information

We retain personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Policy, including any period needed to comply with our legal, tax, accounting, or professional-responsibility obligations as a law firm (which may require retaining client-related records longer than typical marketing data). When information is no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify it.

7. How We Protect Your Information

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Children's Information

Our Services are not directed to individuals under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us using the information below so we can delete it.

9. Your Privacy Rights (Texas Data Privacy and Security Act)

If you are a Texas resident, the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act (TDPSA) gives you certain rights regarding your personal information. Subject to certain exceptions, you have the right to:

  • Confirm and access whether we are processing your personal information, and access that information
  • Correct inaccuracies in your personal information
  • Delete personal information we hold about you
  • Obtain a copy of the personal information you previously provided to us, in a portable format
  • Opt out of the processing of your personal information for targeted advertising, the sale of personal information, or certain profiling

REIB LAW does not sell personal information or sensitive personal data.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the information in Section 13. We will respond within 45 days, and may extend that period by an additional 45 days when reasonably necessary, in each case with notice to you. If we decline to act on your request, you may appeal that decision by contacting us, and we will respond to your appeal within 60 days.

We do not charge a fee to respond to your request unless it is excessive, repetitive, or manifestly unfounded, in which case we may charge a reasonable fee or decline to act on the request.

Where required, we will honor a legally recognized, universal opt-out preference signal (such as a Global Privacy Control signal) sent by your browser as a valid request to opt out of targeted advertising or the sale of personal information.

10. Residents of Other States

If you live outside Texas, your state's privacy law may give you similar rights to those described above. Contact us using the information in Section 13, and we will address your request under the law that applies to you.

11. Do-Not-Track Signals

Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" (DNT) signal. Because there is no common industry standard for responding to DNT signals, our Services do not currently respond to them. We do, however, honor recognized universal opt-out signals as described in Section 9.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. If we make material changes, we will post the updated Policy on this page.
