From Owasso to America's Legal Coach

Scott Reib grew up in Owasso, Oklahoma, where Friday nights belonged to the Rams and hard work wasn't something you talked about, it was just something you did. He graduated in 1987, a kid who didn't yet know he'd spend his life building and protecting the dreams of entrepreneurs nationwide. What he did know was that he loved business, he loved people, and he believed deeply in doing things the right way.

He started college at Oklahoma State University, then transferred to Southwest Baptist University because that's where his closest friends were. That decision shaped him more than he knew at the time. It taught him that community matters, that calling matters, and that life isn't meant to be built alone.

Scott married the love of his life, Bebe, just three weeks after graduating with his business degree. They didn't have money, but they had grit, belief, and a small dining room table that became the birthplace of their first venture. As an Authorized Agent for AT&T, Scott and Bebe built a contract-renewal system by hand. A dot-matrix printer screaming late into the night, envelopes everywhere, two young newlyweds figuring out how to build a life together. They were closing 75% of their deals. And then one decision by one new manager changed everything. She took Scott's system, reassigned him to a dead territory, and showed him a truth he never forgot:

If someone else can take your value, you don't own your future.

That moment sent Scott to law school. Not because he grew up dreaming of being an attorney, but because he never wanted to be that powerless again. He applied to both Baylor and the University of Oklahoma. In the end, he and Bebe chose OU, not for prestige, but because it was $100 per credit hour cheaper than Baylor, and for a young married couple trying to build a future, that difference mattered. He studied relentlessly, bought every outline, and learned the lesson that stayed with him for life: You don't need to work harder. You need to work smarter.

Scott passed the bar in 1996 and entered litigation. He fought cases, prepared endlessly, and discovered something that challenged everything he'd been taught. Most legal problems could have been prevented long before they reached a courtroom. One contingency case cemented it. When the case settled, Scott was paid not by the hour, but by the value he delivered. That single moment reframed everything. Why were lawyers charging for time when clients only cared about outcomes?

It was the seed that became The Access Plan, a subscription-based, proactive legal model designed to prevent emergencies rather than react to them. In 2005, Scott launched REIBLAW, building a firm around the belief that entrepreneurs deserve primary care, not an emergency room.

As the firm grew, so did Scott's family. He and Bebe raised two boys, Jake and Luke, who became the center of Scott's world. He coached their soccer teams, not because life was easy, but because he was determined to show up for them. Jake married Marissa in 2020 and Luke married Kyleigh in 2024. Scott will tell you without hesitation that family is the reason he does this work. Not paperwork. Not legal theory. Family. Freedom. Legacy.

Today, nearly 30 years into his legal career, Scott is known as America's Legal Coach, a mentor to entrepreneurs, a speaker, a podcaster, and a guide for business owners who want to protect what they're building before the storm ever hits. He's still the kid from Owasso who believes in doing things right.
